Earlier, talking on the occasion of the toss, Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam said that they will put pressure on Afghanistan by putting up a good total.

In this match being played in Hambantota, Imamul Haq, Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Agha Salman, Shadab Khan, Usama Mir, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf are included in the Pakistan team.
