Pakistan kicked off their Asia Cup 2023 campaign by defeating Nepal by 238 runs on Wednesday. Meanwhile, India will open their tournament with a match against arch-rivals Pakistan.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam is just six runs away from breaking Virat Kohli’s record of fastest 2000 ODI runs. Asia Cup 2023 will be played between Pakistan and Sri Lanka between August 30 and September 17. Four matches will be played in Pakistan while 9 matches including the final will be played in Sri Lanka.

Pakistan is in Group A along with Nepal and India. Meanwhile, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka are in Group B. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super 4 stage of Asia Cup 2023.
