Indian captain out of first test series against Bangladesh, The Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) has said that Rohit Sharma will not play the first Test against Bangladesh due to a thumb injury, while KL Rahul will lead the team in his place.

Rohit Sharma has had his thumb injury checked by a doctor in Mumbai and is getting himself fit to take part in the second Test.

It should be noted that the first test between India and Bangladesh will start on December 14 and the second test between the two teams will be played on December 22.

In the second one-day match against Bangladesh, while fielding, the captain of the Indian team, Rohit Sharma, was hit by a ball on his hand, after which he was taken to the hospital for an X-ray.
