41-year-old Kamran said that after being made the chairman of the junior selection committee by the PCB, he will no longer be able to play cricket, but he will be seen playing league cricket whenever he gets a chance.

Kamran has represented the national team in 53 Tests and 157 One Day International matches from 2002 to 2017, while he has also played 58 T20 International matches.

It should be remembered that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) formed an 8-member selection committee for the selection of district and regional junior teams.

Kamran Akmal has been appointed as the head of this junior selection committee. Junior Selection Committee will select U-13, U-16, and U-19 players. Players will be selected for regional and district teams.

Other members of the selection committee include Sohail Tanveer, Aamir Nazir, Faisal Athar, Qaiser Abbas, Taimur Khan, and Junaid Khan.
