Looking to form a strong bowling duo with Mohammad Abbas and Shaheen Afridi, Test cricketer Mohammad Abbas has dreamed of forming a brilliant bowling partnership with left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Afridi in the Pakistan national team.

Speaking to the media, Abbas praised Shaheen Afridi’s brilliant bowling skills and immense talent, saying that his cricket has improved a lot since his debut.

The 33-year-old Test cricketer added that Shaheen Afridi is like a brother to him and he is very happy to make a successful return to international cricket after a long injury.

Mohammad Abbas said that Shaheen Afridi is like my younger brother and I am very happy for him. Mohammad Abbas added that I met him during his rehabilitation at NCA, and I wish him all the best in his career.

Asked about returning to the national team, Abbas said that if the cricket board gives him the opportunity, he will try his best to emulate his past achievements.

He said, “I am very proud to witness the abundance of talented fast bowlers. However, he must play at least four seasons of domestic cricket to succeed at the highest level.

It is worth mentioning here that the medium fast bowler is currently representing Hampshire County Cricket Club in the ongoing County Championship edition in England.

Abbas showed his exceptional bowling skills by taking nine wickets against Nottinghamshire in his first game of the season and completed 100 wickets in county cricket.
