Nepal team reached Karachi to participate in Asia Cup 2023, Nepal’s cricket team has arrived in Karachi ahead of their Asia Cup 2023 campaign, which will begin on August 30 against Pakistan in Multan.
After landing at the Karachi airport, the visiting team has been taken to a local hotel under tight security. The Nepali team will train at the National Bank Stadium from tomorrow, they will also play a practice match before leaving for Multan on August 27.
Nepal will play its first Asia Cup this year. They have been placed in Group A with Pakistan and India.
The Asian underdogs will play against India in Sri Lanka on September 4. The Asia Cup will be played from August 30 to September 17 in Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
After India refused to tour Pakistan on political grounds, the host Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) proposed a hybrid model.
After a delay of a few months, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced the schedule of the Asia event, embracing the hybrid model, returning to its original 50-over format after five years.
