Pakistani batsman Jawaria Khan has announced his retirement from international cricket

Former Pakistan Women’s team captain and batsman Jawaria Khan has announced her retirement from international cricket.

Jawaria Khan announced his retirement from international cricket through his social media post on Thursday.

Jawaria Khan wrote in her post on the photo and video-sharing platform Instagram that ‘Happiness and sadness coexisted in a career of 15 years but I was sustained by a sense of great pride.’

In his post, the former captain thanked his department including the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and all those who supported him in this journey.

The 35-year-old batsman started his career in 2008 with an ODI match against Sri Lanka.

He captained the Pakistani team in 16 T20 matches. She captained the Green Shirts in the 2018 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

Jawaria Khan represented the Pakistan Women’s team in the 2009, 2013, 2017, and 2022 ODI World Cup.

He captained the Pakistani team in 16 T20 matches. She captained the Green Shirts in the 2018 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

Apart from this, he also captained the Pakistani team in 17 ODI matches.

She is the second-highest run-scorer for Pakistan in ODI and T20 cricket.

It should be noted that Jawaria Khan says that she will be available to play league cricket after retirement.
