42-year-old Muhammad Hafeez enrolled in the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Sports Sciences (HPESS) of the University of Karachi.
On this occasion, he said that he could not continue his studies due to playing professional cricket, which he is now resuming.
On Friday, February 3, Muhammad Hafeez met the vice chancellor of the University of Karachi, Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, in this meeting, the president of the Department of Health, Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Prof. Dr. Basit Ansari was also present.
Muhammad Hafeez said that he is very happy to be a part of the largest public sector university in the country and hopes that admission to HPESS will help him fulfill his dreams of pursuing higher education.
On the other hand, Jamia Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi welcomed the admission of Muhammad Hafeez and said that the students will learn a lot from the cricket experience of the former captain.
He said that our young generation should also participate in sports as it is important for mental and physical development, people should learn from competition rather than being jealous of someone’s success.
