Wahab Riaz said that the purpose of organizing the Ramadan Sports Series is to provide a platform for healthy activities to the youth according to the vision of the caretaker Chief Minister. More events will be held.
He said that 768 male and female players and 135 officials from all divisions of Punjab will participate in the sports series. The hockey tournament in the series will be 8 A side, there will be two halves of 20 and 20 minutes each. No other player will replace him.
He said that the game of Kabaddi is the crown jewel of Punjab, Kabaddi is very popular among the youth of Punjab, and a big competition of Kabaddi has been arranged in the sports series in which players from all over Punjab will participate, the winning team of Kabaddi will get 10 lakhs and Cash prizes of Rs 5 lakh will be given to the runners-up.
He further said that the winning team in football will get Rs 5 lakh, the runner-up will get Rs 3 lakh and the third-placed team will get Rs 2 lakh, the winning team in cricket tap-ball will get Rs 1 lakh, the runner-up will get Rs 50,000 and the third place will get Rs 2 lakh. 25 thousand rupees will be given to the winning team
