The Asia Cup will be discussed at the IPL final

Where will the Men’s Asia Cup be played? Will it indeed be played? The leaders of the justice boards from India (BCCI), Bangladesh (BCB), Sri Lanka (SLC), and Afghanistan (ACB) will be in attendance at a casual meeting in Ahmedabad on May 28 to witness the IPL final.

Pakistan is the host of this time’s Asia Cup listed for September, but with India declining to travel there, the Asian Cricket Council( ACC) has been looking at druthers

Lately, the PCB had suggested a mongrel host model for the six-platoon event where four of the 13 matches will be held in Pakistan. The remainder, including the conclusion, would take place abroad. Still, the ACC, which is in discussions with the PCB, has not made a decision.

It’s understood that Pakistan isn’t awaiting any major pushback about the mongrel model. The only issue left to iron eschewal is where India and their opponents will be grounded. The choice is between Sri Lanka and the UAE.

The six brigades to dispute the 2023 edition of the Asia Cup are India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal, and hosts Pakistan. ESPNcricnfo reached out to at least four boards to interrogate if an agreement had been reached on espousing the mongrel model recommended by PCB, but all four said no final decision had yet been taken.

BCCI clerk Jay Shah, who’s also chairman of the ACC, said on Thursday that the chairpersons of BCB, SLC, and ACB will be at the IPL final in Ahmedabad.” To outline the next course of action with respect to the Asia Cup 2023, we’ll have discussions with them, Shah added. However, authorities present at the Sunday meeting have reiterated that the ACC will only decide on the Asia Cup in conjunction with the PCB. The next ACC meeting has not yet had a date determined.
