In the fifth match of the U-19 Asia Cup, Pakistan defeated India by eight wickets.
In the match held in Dubai on Sunday, the Pakistan U-19 Asia Cup cricket team achieved the target of 260 runs in the 47th over with the loss of two wickets. Azan Owais remained unbeaten with 105 runs while Saad Baig scored 68 runs and Shazeeb Khan scored 63 runs. Murogan Abhishek took two wickets for India.
Pakistan captain Saad Baig won the toss and decided to bowl first and the Indian team could only score 259 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
Adarsh Singh 62, Udhe Saharan 60, and Sachin Das stood out with 58 runs for India. Pakistan’s right-arm medium pacer Muhammad Zeeshan took four wickets with excellent bowling. Apart from them Obaid Shah and Aamir Hasan dismissed two players each.
After this win, Pakistan are top of Group A with four points and their next match is against Afghanistan U-19 on December 12. Group A includes Pakistan India, Afghanistan, and Nepal.
Group B includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates, and Japan.

Eight teams are participating in the U-19 Asia Cup 2023 and they are divided into two groups. In Group A, Pakistan’s team is in the first position after winning two matches, while India is second, Afghanistan is third and Nepal is fourth.
In Group B, Sri Lanka’s youth team is first, Bangladesh second, the United Arab Emirates third, and Japan fourth.
All the matches are being played in Dubai while the final is scheduled to be played on December 17.
