Under-19 World Cup, the national team reached the semi-finals

The Pakistani cricket team reached the semi-finals of the Under-19 World Cup by defeating Bangladesh.

Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 5 runs in the ongoing U-19 World Cup Super Six match in South Africa. Bangladesh won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first.

Batting first, the players of the Pakistani team scored 155 runs in the 41st over. Irfan Minhas was outstanding with 34 runs and Shahzeeb Khan with 26 runs while Shamil Hussain and Ali Asfand scored 19 and 19 runs respectively.

Bangladesh’s bowlers Rohant Duullah Borsan and Sheikh Parvez took 4 and 4 wickets respectively.

Bangladesh cricket team could only score 150 runs in pursuit of 156 runs and all the players were out. Chasing the target, the first wicket of the Bangladesh cricket team fell at a total score of 27.

Bangladesh batsman Muhammad Shahab James was outstanding with 26 runs, while the national cricket team’s batsman Obaid Shah showed excellent bowling and dismissed 5 players.

Despite the low score due to a brilliant comeback by the Pakistani bowlers, Pakistan won the match. The national team will play its semi-final against Australia on Thursday.
