Man United legend criticizes Rashford’s goal celebration against Tottenham Hotspur

Manchester United drew 2-2 against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Sunday as goals from Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford helped the Red Devils avoid defeat in the Premier League.

Holland found the back of the net in the third minute to give the home side a bright start, but Richarlisson’s 19th-minute strike soon leveled the scores.

Rashford put the Red Devils ahead again after scoring in the 40th minute and celebrated by kneeling to make a talking gesture with his hand, possibly aimed at critics.

However, Rodrigo Bentenker scored another goal shortly after the start of the second half to level the game.

Man United legend Roy Keane disapproved of Rashford’s celebration, saying he needed to concentrate on football.

“We’ve seen before that he has quality. Why does he seem to be angry with everyone, he needs to go out and enjoy his football,” Kane said on Star Sports. but said

Rashford has managed to score just four times

In 26 matches this season, Rashford has managed to score just four times and provide six assists and has been one of the club’s biggest under-performers.

Kane said that while the goal was good, it wasn’t as good as it needed more work.

It’s not good enough [a home goal since May]. With his skills and what he can do, he can turn people around. This is what he should do. Don’t complain,” he said.

The former midfielder praised the forward’s overall performance against Spurs and said he is very difficult to stop when he is at his best.

“There was something different about him (against Spurs). He was simplifying (his game) and he’s been told by the manager and his coaching staff, ‘When we have the space, you have to play in this game. Must run away.’

“We saw it with Newcastle and Man City players. You have to go with teams constantly and when Marcus is doing that it’s very difficult to stop him.”
