Malaysia: Pakistan out of Junior Hockey World Cup after defeat to Spain

Spain defeated Pakistan 2-4 in the quarter-finals of the ongoing Junior Hockey World Cup in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.

In the quarter-final match of the Junior Hockey World Cup on Tuesday, the Spanish team defeated Pakistan by four goals to two and made it to the semi-finals.

In the 12th minute of the first half of the game, Pakistan’s captain Abdul Hanan Shahid scored a field goal to give Pakistan a one-goal lead which remained until the end of the first half.

Spain’s Paul in the 37th minute of the second half, Alex in the 38th minute, and Pablo in the 41st minute gave their team a three-goal lead.

Later in the 43rd minute of the second half, Pakistan’s Mohammad Sufyan Khan scored through a penalty corner, but Paul scored his second goal in the 45th minute to make Spain 2-4.

Thus, Spain won this match against Pakistan by four goals to two and qualified for the semi-finals.

It should be noted that in the world ranking, Spain is number 6, while Pakistan is number 12. Pakistan reached the quarter-finals of the Junior Hockey World Cup after 14 years.
