Shoaib Malik quit the BPL

Remember, several news outlets reported that Shoaib Malik quit the BPL because he was involved in match-fixing while he had referred to three no-balls in an over of a recent BPL match.

Rehman said that reports of Malik’s involvement in match-fixing are false.

shoaib Malik is a good cricketer and his performance for our team was impressive.”

He was supposed to return on January 27 but extended his visit to February 5 due to personal reasons. Barisal also confirmed that they would hire Malik if needed in the future.

On the match-fixing allegations, Shoaib Malik also provided additional details about the matter through his official X, Twitter, account.

“I had a thorough discussion with our captain Tamim Iqbal, and we mutually planned. I had to leave Bangladesh for a pre-committed media engagement in Dubai,” Malik said.

“I want to emphasize the importance of caution when it comes to rumors, especially those that have been circulating recently. I want to make it clear that I strongly deny these baseless rumors.
