Osama Mir outscored Shahid Afridi

Multan Sultan’s spinner Usama Mir outplayed Shahid Afridi in match 14 of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 against Lahore Qalandars.

Multan Sultans defeated the defending champion Lahore Qalandars by a clear margin of 60 runs in this match, after the defeat, the chances of Qalandars reaching the playoffs also decreased.

Osama Mir, while playing for Multan Sultans in the said match, showed brilliant bowling and guided 6 players to the pavilion for 40 runs in his quota of 4 overs.

With this performance, Usama Mir overtook superstar all-rounder Shahid Afridi in the record books, becoming the highest bowling spinner in an innings in PSL history.

Shahid Afridi held earlier this record, he dismissed 5 players of Quetta Gladiators by giving 7 runs while playing for Peshawar Zalmi in 2018.

The best bowling record in PSL belongs to Ravi Bopara, he took 6 wickets for 16 runs against Lahore Qalandars while playing for Karachi Kings.

Besides Ravi Bopara, Faheem Ashraf, and Umar Gul are also second and third in this list with 6 and 6 wickets respectively.
